Posted Tuesday Jan 24, 2012 - The Roanoke Valley Choral Society will present its 2012 spring concert on Monday April 23rd, 2012 in the sanctuary of First Presbyterian Church, 2101 S. Jefferson St., Roanoke, Virginia at 7:30 p.m. The concert is entitled "Your Hit Parade-Music of the '40's" and will feature music written and recorded in the 1940's during the "Big Band Era."

"Your Hit Parade" will feature the following selections: "Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy", "Moonlight Serenade", "Fools Rush In", "Flamingo", "Candy", "Sing, Sing, Sing", "A String Of Pearls", "Stompin' At The Savoy", "In The Mood", "I'll Be Seeing You" and "A Nightingale Sang In Berkley Square."

This concert promises to be great fun for audience and singers as we reminisce and celebrate "Your Hit Parade-Music Of The '40's".

Auditions for spring 2012 are Saturday January 21st from 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM and Sunday January 22nd from 2:30 PM - 4:30 PM in the Fellowship Hall of First Presbyterian Church.
